From July 22 to July 25, 2024, a delegation from the University of Sarajevo (UNSA), led by Professors Adnan Tahirovic and Nedim Osmic, engaged in a series of productive activities at the Czech Technical University (CTU). The visit included a key meeting with Professor Martin Saska, who provided insights into securing national and EU research funding, while showcasing his lab's pioneering work in robotics and autonomous systems.
The delegation also toured Fly4Future, an innovative startup focused on drone solutions for precision agriculture, infrastructure monitoring, and logistics. Discussions centered on integrating AI technologies to enhance drone operational efficiency, with both parties expressing interest in future collaborative research.
Additionally, a meeting with PhD student Frantizek at CTU led to the definition of a joint research experiment. The project aims to compare energy-efficient algorithms for drone trajectory planning, incorporating no-fly zones, and explore advancements in photogrammetry for power line inspections. Future experiments are planned in Temišvar, marking a promising step towards enhanced collaboration in drone technology and research.
