From November 27 to 30, 2023, researchers from the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences (UNIZG-FTTS) — Tomislav Radišić, Ivan Tukarić, and Kristina Samardžić — attended the SESAR Innovation Days (SID 2023) conference in Seville, Spain, as part of the AeroStream project. The event, hosted by the University of Seville's Faculty of Engineering, brought together around 450 European researchers and was supported by SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking (SESAR 3 JU), along with partners such as ENAIRE, Indra, AENA, and Ryanair.

As one of the leading air traffic management (ATM) conferences in Europe, SID 2023 featured discussions on various ATM topics, with a strong focus on drone traffic management. This issue has become a priority for the European ATM research community, reflecting the growing impact of drones on airspace. ENAIRE spokesperson Maria Luz de Mateo highlighted that the innovative ideas exchanged at SID 2023 will be key in shaping future solutions for safer aviation.
