
On December 8, 2023, FTTS and ICENT organized a round table titled *"Innovation in AAS Application Area in Logistics"* in Zagreb, Croatia. The event brought together industry leaders and experts to discuss the latest developments and challenges in the use of Autonomous Aerial Systems (AAS) in logistics. The session aimed to assess the current state of innovation, identify gaps, and explore strategies for future advancements in the field.
Speakers included Davor Justament from Locodels, Robert Manenica from Hrvatski Telekom, and Marin Bek from Kraken Systems, along with Tomislav Radišić from FTTS, who all provided insights into the potential of AAS technology to revolutionize logistics. The event attracted 24 attendees from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, fostering meaningful discussions on the future of logistics and the role of AAS in improving efficiency, delivery systems, and supply chain management.
Key topics included the integration of autonomous drones in logistics, overcoming regulatory challenges, and the importance of collaboration between tech companies, telecommunications providers, and logistics operators to unlock the full potential of AAS in the sector. The panelists emphasized the need for continued innovation and partnership to address current limitations and accelerate the adoption of AAS technologies.
The round table concluded with a call to action for greater investment in research and development, as well as fostering stronger collaborations between industries and academic institutions to advance AAS applications in logistics across the region.
