Supported by the "Employability and Jobs of the Future" project, organized by SOS Children's Villages Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the AeroSTREAM project, a visit to Zagreb was arranged for high school students, technical college students, and teachers. During this trip, the participants visited the "Nikola Tesla Technical Museum," the "Chocolate Museum," and a few research laboratories located at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing at the University of Zagreb.
At the "Nikola Tesla Technical Museum," the participants had the opportunity to learn about the development of technology throughout history. They also became acquainted with scientific contributions of the world famous scientist from this region, Nikola Tesla.
At the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing Zagreb, the participants visited LABUST laboratory (Laboratory for Underwater Systems and Technologies), participated in a LEGO workshop, and learnt about research work conducted at LARICS laboratory (Laboratory for Robotics and Intelligent Control Systems). At LABUST, participants met several researchers who do their research in the field of autonomous underwater systems and learnt about the state-of-the-art research challenges and their current research work. The LEGO workshop was organized by Prof. Tomislav Jagušt, where participants had a chance to build several different mobile robots and managed to test their work, while LARICS laboratory was presented by Prof. Tamara Petrović, introducing a few successfully completed projects which were based on autonomous drones used to navigate and perform localization and mapping tasks.
